Since being catapulted into the spotlight by her show stopping turn on The Voice, Valerie Ponzio has made it her mission to shatter precedents for Latin artists in country music. Hailing from El Paso, Texas, Valerie is part of a new wave of representation in Nashville. A Recording Academy member and alum of CMT/mtheory's Equal Access program, she has built an audience of more than 140K social followers and nearly 5 million cumulative streams. Her songs "Desert Rain" and "Bad Guy" have helped generate more than 60 million short form views across TikTok and Instagram, while her career has included features from CMA, ACM, and The Tennessean, along with a recent performance at the FIFA Fan Festival in Dallas. Blending her Mexican American roots with country music traditions, Valerie continues to carve out a space distinctly her own in Music City.
